Tricky Dismount

I would make Dad go ride his bike every evening so he would get off the couch and out of the house. He was starting to get worried about his balance so after one ride he was scared to stop and get off so he jumped off the bike while riding it and ended up landing on his feet. I don't remember exactly what he said, but I'm sure it was like, "Op, oh god...whew." I saw all this happen and asked him whats up with the tricky dismount? He explained and I said I think it would have just been easier to stop the bike then get off.
